Calling ALL Whiteleaf archers — experienced competitors, brand-new archers, and everyone in between!
On Sunday 20 September 2026, we’re holding the Whiteleaf Bowmen Championships, and the aim is very simple:
🎯 Shoot some arrows. Have some fun. Enjoy a great day with the club.
This is OPEN TO EVERYONE, irrespective of experience or ability. Never entered a competition before? Perfect. Give it a go! Been shooting for years? Brilliant — come along and join in.
🏹 Choose your challenge
There are three ways to take part:
🌞 Western Round – All Day (Shooting to commence at 10:00, Assembly Brief 09:45)
One full Western Round: 8 dozen / 96 arrows, with four dozen at each of two distances.
☀️ Warwick Round – Morning (Shooting to commence at 10:00, Assembly Brief 09:45)
If you don’t fancy the full day, or want to shoot a few fewer arrows, you can shoot the Warwick in the morning, which is 4 dozen / 48 arrows, with two dozen at each of two distances.
🌤️ Warwick Round – Afternoon (Shooting to commence approximately 13:00, Assembly Brief 12:45)
Another complete Warwick after lunch — so if you can’t make the morning, you can still take part!
Shoot at whatever distance you’re happy at, it doesn’t matter! Shoot at your own level. This isn’t about everyone having to shoot their age appropriate distance.
🏆 Championships… but without taking ourselves too seriously
Yes, it’s the Club Championships. Yes, there will be scores. Yes, there will be winners.
But above all, this is meant to be a FUN day of shooting.
And to keep things interesting, we’ll also have 🎨 SPOT COLOUR PRIZES! 🎨
So even if you’re nowhere near the top of the leaderboard, there will still be opportunities to walk away with something. Sometimes one particularly well-placed arrow is all it takes!
⚖️ Our extremely serious judging procedure…
There will be no “formal” judging as such.
If there’s a question over an arrow, sort it out together on your boss. Have a look, have a chat and reach a friendly decision.
If everyone on the boss genuinely can’t agree, the TO will be summoned to arbitrate.
Naturally, such an important matter demands the highest standards of sporting governance.
Therefore, the TO’s decision-making procedure will be:

No appeals. Probably. 😁
The point is that it’s a fun day, and it’s open to everyone. We want everyone to enter into the spirit of the day: friendly, fair and fun.
